The pieces in Spectrum were chosen from 150 submissions. Exploring the spectrum of color as well as a spectrum of subject matter – from geometry and texture to illustration and portraiture – the show covers the breadth of fabric8's program while also featuring artists that haven't shown there regularly. The jury consisted of several painters that the gallery works with frequently.

Simultaneously, new pieces were introduced in the sculpture garden from artists Calvin Ma, Shadoe Delgado, and Erika Sanada.

Party Animals explores two topics that so many San Franciscans can relate to: animals and partying. In the second solo show by Grant Gilliland at fabric8, the painter and illustrator develops the playful narrative in his work.

Focusing on "humble materials, big ideas", All That Remains features artists who use recycled and reclaimed materials in their work. Curator and artist Erik Otto created the roster considering peers whose work inspires his own use of such materials.

Back Door! expounds on the subject that San Franciscans love to hate: the MUNI transportation system.

Whether infrequent rider or relentless commuter, every MUNI passenger has a memorable experience on the bus. Drivers with character, colorful passengers, hectic city streets, and general mayhem vary from route to route, yet always seem to possess that uniquely San Francisco flavor. With Back Door!, Stattmiller presents a truly entertaining overview in 27 illustrative vignettes that capture the feelings that only MUNI can evoke.

Taken from the lyrics of "Everybody Loves the Sunshine" by Roy Ayers, Bees and Things and Flowers celebrates natural beauty and the positive feelings it evokes. Each of the four artists have continuously integrated elements of nature into their work, and come together for this summertime show.

A collection of works showcasing a previously unknown creature, Summer of the Swanicorn depicts variations of a species that is part swan, part unicorn, and part unexpected -- like snowflakes and fingerprints, no two are identical. Now facing extinction, Fleres chronicles the elusive Swanicorn as it comes out of hiding from regions throughout the world to seek protection from human beings.
